Amazon has introduced its all-new Amazon Alexa Tablets, a lineup that combines premium hardware, smart AI features, and access to millions of Android apps. The new range includes three models: the Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, Amazon Alexa Tablet 11, and Amazon Alexa Tablet 8.
Starting at $229, these tablets are designed for entertainment, reading, productivity, and everyday use. They feature aluminum bodies, high-resolution displays, powerful processors, and built-in Alexa+ intelligence.
Users can also access the Google Play Store to download popular apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Gmail, and Google Docs. Amazon apps, including Prime Video, Kindle, Audible, and Amazon Music, are also available.

The Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro is the most advanced model in the lineup. It features a 12-inch display, a powerful eight-core processor, and support for multitasking. Users can also choose a Nanomatte display that reduces glare, making reading and working more comfortable in bright conditions.
The tablet supports an optional Pro Pen and Pro Keyboard. These accessories make it suitable for taking notes, editing documents, drawing, and working with multiple apps.
The Amazon Alexa Tablet 11 is designed for streaming, gaming, browsing, and reading. Meanwhile, the compact Amazon Alexa Tablet 8 weighs just 329 grams, making it a practical choice for people who want a lightweight device for travel.
Alexa+ Brings AI Features to Every Tablet
One of the main highlights of the Amazon Alexa Tablets is Alexa+, Amazon’s AI-powered assistant. Users can activate it by voice or by tapping the Ask Alexa button.
Alexa+ can answer questions, control compatible smart home devices, suggest content, and help users complete everyday tasks. Its On-Screen Intelligence feature can also analyse information displayed on the screen when enabled.
For example, users can ask Alexa to compare hiking options while browsing or add multiple game dates to their calendar. Live sessions allow natural conversations without repeating the wake word between questions.
Amazon says these features are designed with privacy in mind. On-Screen Intelligence is disabled by default and requires users to opt in.
A Better Reading Experience With Kindle
The new tablets also offer a dedicated reading experience through the Kindle app. When activated, this mode silences notifications and reduces blue light to help users focus on their books.
Amazon says the tablets can provide up to 20 hours of reading on a single charge. Users can highlight text, add notes, and mark up pages on supported devices using the Pro Pen.
This makes the lineup useful for people who enjoy reading but also want access to entertainment and productivity apps.
Amazon Kids Tablets Also Get an Upgrade
Alongside the main lineup, Amazon has introduced new Kids Tablets in 8.7-inch and 11-inch sizes. They come with protective cases and a year of Amazon Kids+.
New features include Storybuilder, which allows children to create illustrated stories using their voices, and an updated Parent Dashboard that provides weekly insights into their activities.
Final Thoughts
The new Amazon Alexa Tablets combine AI assistance, entertainment, reading tools, and productivity features in one device. With three sizes, Google Play Store access, and Alexa+ built in, the lineup offers options for different types of users.
The 12 Pro focuses on work and premium features, the 11 suits everyday entertainment, and the 8 prioritises portability. For users looking for a tablet that combines Amazon services with Android apps, this new range is worth watching.
